My experience in the States was absolutely amazing! I had the opportunity to meet some incredible people, mostly locals, with whom I formed great friendships. I can’t wait to see them again and relive some of the unforgettable moments we shared. Living and working in Santa Cruz, California, as a J1 participant at Santa Cruz Seaside Company in 2024 was an adventure in itself. The place had such a vibrant atmosphere, and every day brought something new and exciting.
One of the things I enjoyed the most was trying out different restaurants and popular fast-food chains that I had only heard about before. From classic American diners to well-known fast-food places, I made sure to experience as much as possible when it came to food. Each meal was a chance to discover new flavors and immerse myself even more in the culture.
Beyond work and daily life, I also traveled to some breathtaking places. I spent four days in Hawaii and another four in Miami, and both trips were absolutely unforgettable. I went with friends, and together we explored, relaxed, and made incredible memories. In Hawaii, we went snorkeling, enjoying the crystal-clear waters and the stunning marine life. We also had the thrill of riding jet skis, which was such an adrenaline rush! In Miami, the energy of the city was on another level—vibrant, exciting, and full of life. Whether it was lounging on the beach, sightseeing, or just enjoying the nightlife, every moment was special.
On top of that, I also got to attend two amazing concerts—Future and Nicki Minaj! The atmosphere at both events was insane, with incredible energy from the crowd and unforgettable performances. Seeing such huge artists live was definitely one of the highlights of my summer, and it made my experience in the U.S. even more special.
Looking back, my time in the States was filled with adventure, new experiences, and amazing people. It was a summer of growth, fun, and memories that I will cherish forever. I can’t wait for the next adventure and to hopefully reunite with all the amazing people I met along the way!
