This past summer was, without a doubt, the best one of my life. I spent it in California, and it was filled with new experiences, friendships, and unforgettable memories. I worked in a souvenir shop, which was a fun and unique way to spend my time. Not only did I get to meet people from all over the world, but I also learned a lot about American culture and the tourism industry.
One of the highlights of my summer was the chance to visit two iconic American cities: Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Las Vegas was like nothing I had ever seen before—the lights, the excitement, and the nonstop energy. I got to explore the famous Strip, watch a few incredible shows, and even try my luck at a casino (though I didn’t win big!). Los Angeles was equally exciting, with its beautiful beaches, vibrant neighborhoods, and, of course, the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I spent time soaking in the sights and sounds of the city, and even had the chance to visit some of the incredible museums and attractions.
During my days off, I made sure to hit the beach every week. There’s something so refreshing about the ocean breeze, the sound of the waves, and the sun on your skin. I’d relax, swim, and sometimes even join beach volleyball games with new friends I met along the way. It was the perfect way to unwind after a busy week at work.
The best part of the summer, though, was the people I met. I made so many new friends, both locals and fellow travelers, and we shared countless laughs and experiences. Whether we were exploring the city, chatting over meals, or just hanging out on the beach, I felt so connected to everyone around me. It was a summer of adventure, laughter, and personal growth.
All in all, my summer in America was an experience I’ll never forget. It was a perfect mix of work, exploration, relaxation, and new friendships. I came back home with a heart full of
memories and a new appreciation for the vibrant, diverse culture of the United States.
