The US tourist visa is part of the B1/B2 visa category and is generally intended for people traveling to the United States temporarily for business (B1) or personal purposes (B2). In general, B1 visas are intended for persons traveling to meet with business partners, attend scientific, professional, or business conventions/conferences, resolve property issues, or negotiate contracts. Category B-2 visas are intended for travel that is of a recreational nature, including tourism, visiting friends or relatives, medical treatment, or activities of a fraternal, social, or service nature. Often B1 and B2 visas are combined and issued as one visa: category B1/B2.

What documents do I need to apply for a tourist visa?
A simple, electronic passport that is valid for 5 or 10 years and is valid at least until your return to the country.
Visa-type photograph in physical and electronic format:
- The size of the photo is 5 x 5 cm, and the size of the face must be between 2.5 and 3.5 cm from the chin to the top of the head.
- The photo must not be older than 6 months.
- The eyes must be directly facing the camera and the face fully visible, without bangs, glasses, earrings, or other accessories.
Travel itinerary along with proof of airfare and accommodation reservation.
Proof of property or business owned if applicable.
