Iceland is famous for its touristic attractions, whether it’s a historical destination or a family resort, with parties until morning. You can spend between 4-12 months in such a place, alone or with your friends, and earn around 2600 euros a month. Besides this, accommodation and three meals a day are ensured, and the job offers are in hotels, restaurants or clubs, agriculture, farms throughout Iceland. Visa is not required! You can also take Icelandic language classes.

Conditions for applying to the Work & Travel Iceland program
  • Age between 18 and 30 years
  • Student status – not mandatory. You don’t have to be a student
  • Minimum work experience in any field
  • English language level: conversational
  • Advantages: knowledge of German, French, Italian, Spanish language
PROCEDURE
Application procedure
Submitting the necessary documents for registration at one of our Student Travel offices.
You sustain an interview with a Student Travel representative.
After acceptance in the program, you pay the registration fee.
The placement process starts and an interview with an employer from Iceland will take place.
After a successful interview you will get the confirmation letter from the Icelandic employer.
After you accepts the confirmation letter you pay the second fee of the program
You buy your plane ticket.
Before travelling to Iceland you will sustain an orientation session with our Icelanding partner.

  • Letter of recommendation from a former employer

Costs

Program fee: €900, payable in two rates
Other costs: round trip plane ticket, travel medical insurance

Work period: 4-12 months in any time of the year
